Take Care of Others

Stress

Whether you're a doctor, volunteer firefighter, police officer or therapist, if you're spending your days taking care of others or responding to emergencies, you've probably noticed that it can be difficult to take care of yourself.

Even if you think everything is fine, you might already be noticing some telltale signs that things are out of balance.

Do any of these sound familiar?

Is it difficult to fall or stay asleep, making you feel groggy and unrested when you wake up?

Do you find yourself responding with anger at even the tiniest interruptions or miscommunications?

Do you feel isolated and alone even when you are with family and friends?

Do you sometimes forget to eat or drink water during the day?

Are you experiencing depression or anxiety?

Is your mind constantly racing with unwanted thoughts, making it hard to concentrate and focus on even simple tasks?

Are you distracted and forgetful?

Do you lack purpose and focus outside the job?

Do you use self-soothing techniques that you know aren't healthy, just to make it through the day?

Do you experience tense muscles and low energy creating a feeling of burnout?

If you answered yes to any of these questions

it doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you.

A "yes" answer means your body is trying to tell you that something needs attention. And if you don't start paying attention these symptoms will typically continue and your relationships may begin to suffer. It's important to understand that the physical, mental, and emotional signals that your body is sending you are signs that something is out of balance and it's time to start making changes.

Unfortunately, doing nothing typically does not remedy the situation,

which can lead to bigger physical and emotional challenges.

Reduce stress

Alleviate burn out

Stay physically strong, energized, and grounded

This is where I come in...

I can help you shift from suffering in stress, anger, and depression to thriving in ease, peace and happiness. If you know something has to change, but feel overwhelmed and aren't sure where to begin, I want you to know that you already have everything inside you to create positive change in your life.

It's time to give yourself the attention you give others.

But how in the world will I ever find the time?

I know finding time and space to take care of yourself sounds nearly impossible if not totally out of the realm of reality.

But I’m here to tell you it can be done. Take it from a single mom of 18 years who worked full time, changed careers and healed (and continues to) years of trauma that I unknowingly held in my body.

If I can do it, I have faith you can too.

Work with me to...
Experience More Joy in Your Life

I've been there... my life was defined by overwhelming stress, anxiety, and a refusal to ask for help. I wanted to prove that I could 'handle it' all myself. Deep down I knew peace, ease, and focus was accessible to me, I just couldn't figure out the solution on my own.

Yoga therapy is close to my heart because it has changed my life. With support from a trained professional I shifted anxiety to ease. I learned from my trauma, found strength within myself, and developed the skills to manage strong emotions. I was so inspired by this work I earned my certification in yoga therapy with an emphasis in stress and trauma.

The idea of this transformation seemed impossible. Now I know anything is possible.
