I felt alone but the universe told me different...

Sometimes the universe provides in ways I could never anticipate. I just have to pay attention.



The past couple of weeks have been a time of change in my world. I’ve entered a space of uncertainty. This brings questions into my life and can feel heavy.


I felt alone. It was bringing me down.


But I continued to put one foot in front of the other. I maintained my self-care routine, allowed emotions to flow, and reminded myself this would change.


One thing I can count on, nothing stays the same.


One morning, when I was feeling particularly heavy, one of my beloved friends sent me a text to connect and share the love. Then another friend sent me a text with a wonderful piece of information. Then another friend sent me a text to get together. And another friend did the same. I had a great meeting with two amazing colleagues and last but not least, my boyfriend sent me sweet messages throughout the day.


The love was pouring in for me on a day I truly needed it.


I could’ve ignored the message of love, support, and connection. If I had, my day would’ve been harder to get through. It’s a heavy feeling.


I chose to acknowledge the love though. My day lightened up.



Not to sound too woo-woo, but the universe was providing. I chose to listen and remembered I have so much to be grateful for.


I felt the love and support I have in my life. I felt deeply connected to loving people in my world. Some were local and others very far away.


I just had to take a moment to pause, notice, and listen to the messages of love, support, and connection I was receiving.


If you ever feel alone or heavy about circumstances in your world, I get it. I have been there not that long ago, like a few days ago.


When you’re in challenging times, this short practice might help.

  • Allow yourself to acknowledge that life isn’t always easy and you may be in a more challenging place. That’s ok.

  • Acknowledge what you have and who is in your life that loves and supports you.

  • Offer gratitude for yourself, what you have, and the people who love you (pets count).

  • Connect. Connect with someone you trust. Pet your dog or cat.

You’re not alone.



Simply take the time to pause, breathe, connect with yourself and your people.
